AKU®-LEN PP SHEETS in PP-H and PPs

are available in the following versions:

PP-H (polypropylene homopolymer) sheets:

High temperature resistance and chemical resistance

PP-H sheets, made from homopolymer polypropylene, are characterized by their high temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance.
Features and applications of PP-H sheets:

Properties:

  • High temperature resistance:
PP-H sheets retain their structural properties at elevated temperatures, making them ideal for applications in high temperature ranges.
  • Chemical resistance:
They are resistant to a wide range of chemical substances, including acids, bases and solvents.
  • Lightweight:
Despite their robustness, PP-H sheets are light and easy to handle.
  • Electrical insulation:
PP-H offers good electrical insulation properties, which makes it suitable for certain applications in the electrical industry.
  • Recyclable:
PP-H is fully recyclable and therefore supports sustainable practices.

Applications:

  • Chemical industry:
PP-H sheets are used for the manufacture of chemical-resistant containers, pipes and fittings in the chemical processing industry.

  • Electrical industry:
Used for insulation materials, housings and covers in the electrical industry, especially where high temperatures occur.

  • food industry:
Due to their food-safe properties, they are used in food processing for cutting boards, work surfaces and packaging materials.

  • Environmental technology:
PP-H sheets are used in exhaust gas purification and water treatment applications due to their resistance to aggressive media.

  • Construction:
Used in building applications for roof waterproofing, wall cladding and insulation materials.

PP-H sheets offer a reliable solution for applications requiring high temperatures, chemical exposure and demanding environments.
Their wide range of applications extends across various industrial sectors where robustness and durability are required.

Polypropylene homopolymerized

abbreviated as PP-H, is a special form of polypropylene produced by the homopolymerization of propylene.
PP-H is characterized by certain properties that make it suitable for specific applications in various industries.

Properties of PP-H:

  • High temperature resistance: PP-H has good temperature resistance and can be used at higher temperatures than conventional polypropylene. It remains stable at temperatures up to around 100°C.

  • Chemical resistance: PP-H is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, bases and solvents. This property makes it attractive for applications in the chemical industry.

  • Good strength: PP-H has good mechanical strength and can be used in structural applications.

  • Low water absorption: PP-H absorbs only small amounts of water, resulting in low moisture absorption.

  • Electrical insulation: Like most types of polypropylene, PP-H is also a good insulator and is used in the electrical industry for the manufacture of electrical components.

  • Lightweight: PP-H is lightweight compared to many other materials, which makes it easy to handle and use.

Applications of PP-H:

PP-H is used in various industries for specific applications, including:

  • Chemical industry: pipelines, tanks, fittings and other components due to its chemical resistance.

  • Building industry: Components for construction, especially where a certain temperature resistance and strength are required.

  • Electrical industry: insulators, housings and other electrical components due to its good electrical insulation properties.

  • Automotive industry: Parts that require a combination of strength, temperature resistance and low weight.

Due to its specific properties, PP-H is a versatile choice for applications where good chemical and temperature resistance is required.
