AKU®-CETAL POM SOLID RODS or ROUND BARS in POM-C, POM-ELS, POM-ESD, POM-10PE and POM-GF25

POM has a continuous service temperature of up to 100°C.
The high surface hardness is only surpassed by a few plastics.
Due to its high hardness and smooth surface, POM has good sliding and wear behavior.

There is basically no tendency to stress cracks .
The copolymer has high thermal stability and chemical resistance.

POM-ELS

is a variant of copolymer POM with improved electrical conductivity.
The surface resistance , measured on the semi-finished product, is < 10 to the power of 4 Ω.
The rods are only available in black .

POM-10PE

is a variant of copolymer POM with improved sliding properties for tribological applications where increased sliding wear is to be expected.
The rods are only available in light blue .

POM-C solid rods are high-quality plastic rods made from polyoxymethylene copolymer (POM-C). Polyoxymethylene

POM-GF25

Polyoxymethylene with 25 percent glass fiber reinforcement by weight, abbreviated POM-GF25, is an engineering plastic that is reinforced by the addition of glass fibers to polyoxymethylene (POM).

Properties of POM-GF25:

  • Glass fiber reinforcement:
    POM-GF25 contains 25 percent glass fibers by weight, resulting in a significant improvement in mechanical properties, including tensile strength, stiffness and impact strength.
  • High tensile strength:
    The tensile strength of POM-GF25 is significantly higher than that of unreinforced POM due to the glass fiber reinforcement. This makes it particularly suitable for applications with high mechanical loads.
  • Good rigidity:
