AKU®-LEN 300 SHEETS as EXTRUDER SHEETS in PE-HD, PE-HD-el

Due to its good chemical resistance, polyethylene is insensitive to attack by most acids, alkalis, many organic solvents and hot water.
The material is a good electrical insulator and can be welded very well.
The continuous operating temperature is between -50°C and approx. +90°C.

PE 300 sheets are high-quality plastic sheets made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) class 300.

HDPE 300 is characterized by a good combination of strength, rigidity and toughness.

PE 300 sheets are versatile and are particularly suitable for applications that require high impact resistance and chemical resistance, such as tank and apparatus construction, plant engineering and the food industry. These panels are easy to work with and offer good weather resistance, which also makes them suitable for outdoor use.

PE 300 sheets offer a reliable solution for a wide range of applications where high strength and durability are required.

  • High toughness
  • Very good welding and processing properties
  • high elongation at break very suitable for container construction
  • Good chemical resistance
  • Low density
  • Physiological safety

Polyethylene (PE) 300

is a form of polyethylene that is characterized by certain properties. It is part of the polyolefin family and is often used for various applications.

Properties of PE 300:

  • Good mechanical strength:

PE 300 shows good mechanical strength, making it suitable for applications with moderate to light mechanical loads

  • High toughness:

The material is tough and exhibits high impact strength, making it resistant to shocks and impacts.

  • Chemical resistance:

PE 300 is resistant to many chemicals, which makes it attractive for use in various industrial environments.

  • Low water absorption:

PE 300 absorbs only small amounts of water, resulting in low moisture absorption

  • Good insulating properties:

Like most types of polyethylene, PE 300 is also a good insulator, which makes it interesting for applications in the electrical industry

  • Lightweight:
PE 300 is lightweight compared to many other materials, which makes it easy to handle.

Applications of PE 300:

PE 300 is used in various industries for specific applications, including:

  • Mechanical engineering:
Components for machinery and equipment, especially where good mechanical strength and impact resistance are required.

  • Container construction:
PE 300 can be used for the manufacture of containers, tanks and other storage items.

  • Construction:
Components for construction, especially where a combination of strength and toughness is required.

  • packaging industry:
PE 300 can be used for packaging materials when a certain impact strength is required.

PE 300 is a common choice due to its balanced mechanical properties and versatility in various applications.
It is particularly suitable for applications where moderate mechanical loads occur and toughness is required at the same time.
