Hot air welding gun

Forsthoff MINI-Electronic and MINI-Electronic-SC

A hot air welding gun is a portable tool that is used for welding plastics using hot air welding technology.

These hand-held devices are particularly useful in areas such as plastics processing, construction, vehicle repair and other applications where precise and controlled welded joints are required.

The MINI-Electronic insulated welding gun is ideal for plastic fitters and tank builders due to its light weight and ease of use.

The heating power of 1500 W 230 V is infinitely variable from 20 to 700 °C and is kept constant electronically. Furthermore, the required air volume can be individually regulated using an additional rotary knob.

The appliance requires an external air supply, such as a side channel blower, fan or compressor.

We also offer a portable hand blower, which can supply the required air on construction sites and in the field.

If required, the welding gun can also be fitted with an adapter for M10 threaded nozzles instead of an adapter for plug-in nozzles.
This adapter allows the use of screw-on rapid welding nozzles, which are often used in plastic and container construction due to their high stability.

The MINI-Electronic welding gun can be fitted with numerous accessories for welding plastics.

We supply the MINI-Electronic SC with an additional manual blower for use on construction sites and outdoors.

Functionality of Hot air welding guns:

A hot air welding gun works by generating a controlled air flow that is directed through a heating element.
This heating element heats the air and the hot air is then directed onto the plastic surfaces to be welded.
Melting occurs when the plastics are heated at the contact points and a solid weld seam is formed after cooling.

Features of a hot air welding gun:

  • Temperature control:
Modern welding guns are equipped with precise temperature controls that make it possible to set the optimum welding temperature for different plastic materials.

  • Air flow control:
The ability to control the air flow ensures even distribution of the heated air over the surfaces to be welded.

  • Hand-guided design:
Hot air welding guns are hand-held, which enables the operator to direct the hot air precisely to the desired areas.

  • Nozzles and attachments:
Many models come with different nozzles and attachments that allow the user to vary the focus and shape of the airflow to suit different requirements.

  • Lightweight and portable:
Due to their hand-held design, hot air welding guns are lightweight and portable, making them easy to use in different locations.

  • Security functions:
The appliances can be equipped with safety features such as overheating protection and automatic switch-off to ensure safe operation.

Applications of a hot air welding gun:

  • Plastics processing:
In the plastics industry, the welding gun is used to manufacture products such as containers, pipes and packaging.

  • Construction:
In construction applications, the hot air welding gun is used to weld plastic seals, tarpaulins and roofing membranes.

  • Automotive industry:
In vehicle repair, the welding gun is used to repair plastic parts such as bumpers or dashboards.

  • Repair and maintenance:
It is also used for the repair and maintenance of plastic products in various industries.

The hot air welding gun is a versatile and handy tool that offers a precise and efficient method for welding plastics in various applications
