AKU®-DUR PVC-U FLAT BARS

Polyvinyl chloride is flame-retardant, exceptionally resistant to chemicals and tends only to slight stress cracking.

It has a high strength, rigidity and hardness.
The Continuous operating temperature is between -15 °C and approx. +60 °C.
It is possible that bonded and welded become.

PVC-U flat rods are high-quality plastic rods that are made from the polymer PVC-U (polyvinyl chloride unplasticized) and have a flat, rectangular cross-sectional shape. They are characterized by their high strength, rigidity and chemical resistance.

PVC-U flat bars are particularly suitable for applications that require good mechanical strength and weather resistance, such as in the construction industry, in advertising technology and in the furniture industry.

Thanks to their robustness and durability, PVC-U flat bars offer a reliable solution for a wide range of applications in various industries.

Polyvinyl chloride unplasticized (PVC-U) is a form of polyvinyl chloride that is produced without the addition of plasticizers or other plasticizing substances.

Properties of PVC-U:

Hardness and rigidity:

PVC-U is characterized by its high hardness and rigidity. These properties make it particularly suitable for applications where structural integrity and strength are required.

  • Chemical resistance:

PVC-U is largely resistant to many chemicals, which makes it suitable for use in various industrial environments. It is particularly resistant to acids, alkalis and other aggressive substances.

  • Temperature resistance:
PVC-U retains its mechanical properties even at higher temperatures, making it suitable for applications in various temperature ranges.
  • Electrical insulation:
PVC-U shows good electrical insulation properties, making it suitable for applications in the electrical industry, especially for cable insulation.

  • Flame resistance

PVC-U is intrinsically flame retardant and can be classified in various fire classes, making it suitable for certain fire protection applications.

  • Workability:
PVC-U can be formed using various processing methods such as extrusion, injection molding and calendering. This enables the manufacture of a variety of products for different applications.

  • Applications

    :

PVC-U is often used in the construction industry for pipes, window profiles, doors and other building elements. It is also used in the chemical industry, water supply, electrical industry and other technical applications.

The exact properties of PVC-U may vary depending on the manufacturer and formulation.
It is therefore advisable to refer to the specific technical data sheets and recommendations in order to select the right PVC-U product for a particular application.
