POM-C regenerate sheets and rods

Our POM-C regenerate sheets and rods are made from 100% recycled POM-C .

The continuous service temperature of this engineering plastic is between -40 °C and +100 °C. Due to its toughness and high dimensional stability, there is generally no tendency to stress cracking.

The POM-C copolymer is characterized by high thermal stability and chemical resistance, in particular increased hydrolysis resistance and resistance to many solvents.

This makes it particularly suitable for applications in the food industry, as it can withstand cleaning processes with hot water or various chemicals.

The properties of this regenerate material can be considered equivalent to those of pure POM-C.

With recycling or regenerated plastics,we want to take steps to minimize the consumption of resources and reduce waste by keeping products, materials and resources in the value-added cycle for as long as possible.

Instead of pursuing linear “take-make-waste” models in which resources are extracted, processed into products and ultimately disposed of, the circular economy designs and manages products and materials in such a way that they maximize their lifespan and can be returned to the production process after use.

The key concepts of the circular economy include

Resource efficiency:
Consumption is minimized by optimizing the use of materials and resources.
Waste prevention: The focus is on reducing waste, whether through design changes, better product life or reuse.
Reuse:
Products are designed so that they can be reused.

Recycling:

Materials are recycled to make new products, reducing the need for primary resources.
Circuit design:

Products are designed from the outset with the aim that their components can be easily dismantled, recycled or reused.

The circular economy aims to create a sustainable economy in which resources are used efficiently, environmental impact is minimized and long-term prosperity is created, both for businesses and for society as a whole.

AKUplastics has been pushing this line of thought since 2007 and offers biopolymers as semi-finished products and regenerates as semi-finished products.
