AKU®-TEC PEEK modified with 10% PTFE, 10% graphite and 10% carbon fiber FLAT BARS or PLATES

AKU®-TEC PEEK-MOD flat bars and plates, each reinforced with 10% PTFE, 10% graphite and 10% carbon fiber, have excellent tribological properties “plain bearing quality” .

They offer excellent sliding friction and sliding wear behavior.

These panels are only available in black

PEEK-MOD sheets are made from e.g. Victrex® 450FC30.

All product designations with ®=reg. Product names are the property of the respective manufacturer

PEEK has a very high continuous service temperature, rigidity and hardness, uniquely high tensile and flexural fatigue strength, high heat resistance and very good chemical resistance.

It has very good dielectric properties up to +260°C and is resistant to high-energy radiation.

PEEK is self-extinguishing V-0 according to UL 94.

PEEK (polyetheretherketone) sheets are high-quality plastic sheets made from the thermoplastic polymer polyetheretherketone.

They are characterized by their exceptional combination of mechanical strength, heat resistance and chemical resistance.

PEEK sheets have high heat resistance and good resistance to aggressive chemicals.

They are particularly suitable for applications that require high temperatures and extreme loads, such as in the aerospace industry, medical technology and mechanical engineering.

Thanks to their outstanding properties, PEEK sheets offer a reliable and durable solution for demanding applications in various industries.

  • Very high strength and rigidity
  • Very high toughness (even in cold conditions)
  • Very high temperature resistance
  • Very high heat resistance
  • Very high creep resistance
  • Very high dimensional stability
  • Very good resistance to X-rays and infrared radiation
  • High hydrolysis resistance
  • Relatively low notched impact strength
  • Low resistance to acetone

Polyetheretherketone

PEEK for short, is a high-performance thermoplastic that is used in various demanding industries due to its exceptional properties

Properties of PEEK:

  • Temperature resistance:
PEEK is characterized by its remarkable temperature resistance. It can withstand temperatures of up to around 250 degrees Celsius without impairing its mechanical properties. This high heat resistance makes it suitable for applications in high-temperature environments.

  • Mechanical strength:
PEEK has high mechanical strength and rigidity. These properties, in combination with its temperature resistance, make it attractive for structural applications in the aerospace, automotive and other technical sectors.

  • Chemical resistance:
PEEK is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, bases, solvents and many aggressive substances. This chemical resistance extends the application possibilities of PEEK in corrosive environments.

  • Electrical insulation:
PEEK is used as an electrical insulator in the electrical and electronics industry. It is suitable for the manufacture of components in electrical devices where good insulation is required.

  • Biocompatibility:
PEEK is biocompatible, which means that it is compatible with biological tissue. This makes it suitable for use in medical technology for implants or surgical instruments.

  • Low weight:
Despite its strength and rigidity, PEEK is comparatively light. This is particularly relevant in applications where weight reduction is important, for example in the aerospace industry.

  • Workability:
PEEK can be processed by various methods, including injection molding, extrusion and compression molding. This versatility facilitates the manufacture of a wide variety of products.

Applications of PEEK:

PEEK is used in The products are used in various industries, including the aerospace, automotive, electrical and electronics, medical technology and oil and gas industries. Typical applications include high-temperature seals, bearings, implants, electrical insulators, wear parts and much more.
