AKU®-LEN PP-R hollow bars made of PP-R up to 2800 mm

Polypropylene has good stiffness, hardness and strength, but low impact resistance.
PP-R is not prone to stress cracking and is easy to weld.
However, embrittlement occurs at sub-zero temperatures.
The chemical and electrical properties are very good.
The continuous service temperature ranges from approximately -5°C to approximately +70°C.

Polypropylene Random Copolymer (PP-R) is used where PE 100 is not suitable: at elevated operating temperatures, in aggressive chemical media, or if the component is to be subsequently hot-welded.

PP-R is lighter than PE 100, has higher stiffness at room temperature, and better resistance to a wide range of acids, alkalis, and organic compounds.

As a semi-finished product for machining, PP-R behaves somewhat more brittle than PE.

Outside diameter up to 2800 mm, inside diameter up to 2000 mm.
From outside diameter 1900 mm, custom production is required

Pipe quality according to DIN EN ISO 15494. Tolerance ±2% on OD and ID. Standard delivery length 2000 mm, cut-to-length available.
