Compared to pure PTFE, FEP (perfluoroethylene propylene copolymer) has a lower melt viscosity, higher impact strength, lower strength and rigidity, lower continuous service temperature, but comparable chemical and weather resistance, flammability and comparable electrical properties. FEP foils are weldable.
We also supply the matching welding rod.

Foils made from FEP:
FEP films are made of fluorinated ethylene propylene, a fluoropolymer produced by the copolymerization of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and hexafluoropropylene (HFP).
FEP is characterized by high transparency, flexibility, and excellent electrical insulation properties.
Properties and applications:
Temperature resistance:
FEP films have high temperature resistance and can be used at temperatures up to 200°C without affecting their structural properties.
Chemical resistance:
FEP is chemically inert and exhibits excellent resistance to a variety of chemicals, making it attractive for applications in the chemical industry.
Good dielectricity:
The dielectric properties of FEP make it an excellent insulation material used in the electrical industry for cable sheathing and insulators.
Transparent:
FEP films are transparent and retain their clarity even after prolonged exposure to UV radiation.
Low friction:
FEP is characterized by low friction, making it useful in applications requiring low frictional resistance and good lubricity.
