The attachment of sun protection systems such as awnings in thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS), for example made of polystyrene, presents a particular challenge.
Conventional fastening methods can damage the insulation or provide insufficient stability. This is where hollow rods made of AKU®-DUR PVC-U come into play, enabling safe and efficient installation.
Thermal insulation composite systems often consist of materials such as expanded polystyrene (EPS, Styrofoam) or mineral wool, which have excellent insulation properties but are not suitable for directly attaching heavy loads.
