Compared to pure PTFE, FEP (perfluoroethylene propylene copolymer) has a lower melt viscosity, higher impact strength, lower strength and rigidity, lower continuous service temperature, but comparable chemical and weather resistance, flammability and comparable electrical properties. FEP foils are weldable. <\/p>\n

Foils made from FEP:

FEP foils are made of fluoroethylene propylene, a fluoropolymer produced by the copolymerization of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and hexafluoropropylene (HFP).
FEP is characterized by high transparency, flexibility and excellent electrical insulation properties<\/b>.

    Temperature resistance:<\/strong>
    FEP foils have a high temperature resistance and can be used at temperatures of up to 200\u00b0C without impairing their structural properties.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Chemical resistance:<\/strong>
    FEP is chemically inert and has excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals, which makes it attractive for applications in the chemical industry.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Good dielectricity:<\/strong>
    FEP’s dielectric properties make it an excellent insulation material used in the electrical industry for cable sheathing and insulators.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Transparent:<\/strong>
    FEP foils are transparent and retain their clarity even after prolonged exposure to UV radiation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Low friction:<\/strong>
