Properties of BIO-AKU\u00ae PLA-HI<\/h1>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

BIO-AKU\u00ae PLA-HI sheets are made from 90% PLA based on renewable raw materials and are produced in an environmentally friendly, CO\u2082-neutral manner according to GHG Scope 1+2.<\/span><\/p>

<\/span><\/p>

<\/p>

Thanks to their high impact strength, they are ideal for demanding applications.<\/p>

The sheets can be excellently machined mechanically and offer versatile possibilities for post-processing, such as thermoforming, printing, gluing, sawing, drilling or punching.<\/p>

<\/p>

<\/p>

Their CO\u2082 footprint is significantly lower at 1.3 kg CO\u2082 per kilogram of BIO-AKU\u00ae PLA-HI compared to, for example, ABS, which causes 5.5 kg CO\u2082.<\/p>

<\/p>

<\/p>

BIO-AKU\u00ae PLA-HI impresses with its sustainable production from environmentally friendly raw materials and is thus an ecologically safe choice.<\/p>

<\/p>

As the material is biodegradable, it can either be composted or disposed of through thermal recycling – naturally in compliance with the respective local regulations.<\/p>

<\/p>

<\/p>

With mechanical properties comparable to ABS, BIO-AKU\u00ae PLA-HI offers high rigidity and achieves a tensile modulus of up to 2800 MPa. <\/p>

In addition, it is characterized by good resistance to polar media, making it particularly interesting for a wide variety of applications.<\/p>

<\/p>

The material is available as calendered sheets and plates, with custom fabrications possible upon request.<\/p>

<\/p>

If special dimensions are required, production can be individually adjusted <\/p>

<\/p>

<\/p>

Thanks to its versatile properties, BIO-AKU\u00ae PLA-HI finds application in a wide variety of areas. <\/p>

It is excellently suited for vacuum-formed sheets, advertising materials at checkouts, or robust signs and displays. The material is also successfully used in the production of components for water carbonators. <\/p>

With recycling or regenerated plastics,we want to take steps to minimize the consumption of resources and reduce waste by keeping products, materials and resources in the value-added cycle for as long <\/span> as possible. <\/p>

Instead of pursuing linear “take-make-waste” models in which resources are extracted, processed into products and ultimately disposed of, the circular economy designs and manages products and materials in such a way that they maximize their lifespan and can be returned to the production process after use.<\/p>

Waste prevention: Reducing waste is at the forefront, whether through design changes, improved product longevity, or reuse.

Products are designed to be reused, and efforts are made to repair defective products instead of discarding them.<\/p>

Recycling<\/b>: <\/p>

Materials are recycled to produce new products, reducing the need for primary resources.
Circular design<\/b>: <\/p>

Products are designed from the outset with the aim that their components can be easily dismantled, recycled or reused.<\/p>

The circular economy aims to create a sustainable economy in which resources are used efficiently, environmental impact is minimized and long-term prosperity is created, both for businesses and for society as a whole.<\/p>
