PTFE is produced by the polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and is best known under the brand name Teflon\u00ae.  <\/p><p><strong>Properties of PTFE:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><p><strong>High temperature resistance:<\/strong><br>PTFE is extremely heat-resistant and can withstand temperatures of up to 260\u00b0C without changing its structural properties. This property makes it suitable for applications in extreme temperature ranges.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Excellent chemical resistance:<\/strong><br>PTFE shows exceptional resistance to a wide range of chemicals, acids and bases. It is inert to most chemical substances and is therefore often used in demanding chemical environments.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Lubricity:<\/strong><br>The surface of PTFE is extremely smooth, which results in excellent lubricity.
